About Me

Lee Steppacher has a combination of skills and interests that draws her to practicing mindfulness in nature including over 25 years of meditation practice; a fulfilling career in environmental planning and protection with both EPA and the National Park Service; and a massage therapy practice with elderly, ill and dying.  Lee completed the first Awake in the Wild Teacher Training in 2017 and is continuing her training with Bill and Susan Morgan, insight meditation teachers. Lee lives in Vermont and enjoys guiding people through the woods and fields nearby, sharing practices that help participants to connect more deeply with themselves and the world of which we are all a part.  Lee is inspired by the hope that this will help lead each of us towards a true caring for the earth and its resources.  Lee guides both day-long and weekend retreats in New England.  She teaches independently and also likes to co-lead retreats.  She is affiliated with the Valley Insight Meditation Society in the Upper Valley of NY and VT.
