The summer solstice marks the pinnacle of daylight and the official arrival of summer. As Earth’s axis tilts to its maximum, the sun appears at its highest point in the sky, casting its nourishing energy upon the land and gifting us with the longest day and the shortest night of the year. It is a time when nature is ablaze with life, vibrant and abundant, beckoning us to revel in its splendor.
During this special celebration, our experienced teachers will guide you through meditation practices that encourage introspection and relaxation. With a focus on mindfulness, you will have the opportunity to come into a deeper awareness of the rhythms of your life and the earth. In addition to meditation we will provide space for sharing and honoring the collective wisdom of the Awake in the Wild community. The evening will culminate in a heartfelt closing ceremony, where we will offer gratitude for the earth and set intentions for the coming season. Join us as we honor this special moment of transition.
We honor the Buddhist principle of dana, or mutual generosity. Our teachers generously offer their teachings to our community. In a mutual invitation to practice generosity, our community is invited to give dana to support Awake in the Wild and our teachers. Your generosity helps to spread the goodness of this practice to others, and you are encouraged to contribute at whatever level feels generous to you.Register Today

Mirjam’s intention is to integrate wisdom teachings and gratitude practice with her love for nature and her longing to explore our humanness in this mysterious web of life. Aware of the diverse cultural backgrounds we were raised in, we may hopefully grow into more awareness of our interconnectedness with this beautiful planet.
Greg has been practicing meditation in different forms for over 15 years and has completed the year-long Awake in the Wild nature meditation teacher training with Mark Coleman, learning to foster a rich sensitivity and connection to the natural world through mindfulness and contemplative practices.
