Anke Thiele
Growing up in Germany, Anke developed a deep connection with nature early on. Some of her most vivid childhood memories involve riding the tram to school past thousand-year-old oak trees, spending hours outdoors with friends, biking through the woods to the horse stables, and wandering the meadows and mountains of Austria in the summer.
Today, Anke is an executive coach and leadership development consultant, who partners with senior leaders and their teams to bring more awareness, humanity and focus into organizations. Trained by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, she is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher through UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, and an Awake-in-the-Wild nature-based mindfulness teacher with Mark Coleman. She created an “Inner Presence” workshop for leaders that has been taught for many years at Google and other tech companies, and she regularly weaves mindfulness practices into her coaching and leadership programs.
Drawing on her lifelong love for nature, her academic background in psychology and business, and decades of leadership development experience, Anke now integrates nature-based mindfulness into her work with leaders. Her mission is to help leaders awaken and use their influence for the good of our collective future – because the consciousness of our leaders will shape the fate of our planet.
