Megan Scott

Megan graduated from the Awake in the Wild teacher training in 2025, holds an M.A. in Ecopsychology from Naropa University, and is a certified yoga teacher.

Megan’s teaching is grounded in Ecopsychology and invites a slowing down into direct relationship with Earth. Through contemplative practice in nature and with nature, we cultivate awareness of both our inner and outer landscapes, learning to meet the world—its beauty, uncertainty, and hardship—with presence, resilience, and an open heart. In this way, nature becomes both teacher and kin, reminding us of our belonging within the wider web of life.

Megan spent many years working in humanitarian natural disaster response across the U.S. and internationally. Supporting communities in the aftermath of earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, and other crises, she witnessed the fragility and resilience of human communities and nature. These “boots on the ground” experiences, along with her deep engagement with people, communities, and environments facing systemic inequities and injustice, continue to inform and inspire her personal and professional work.

With curiosity and heart, Megan’s offerings weave together ecopsychological insight, nature-based mindfulness, and embodiment practices. She finds inspiration and grounding in her furry family members, walking mountain trails, gardening, getting her hands in soil, her feet on the earth, and her toes in the ocean.
