About Lisa Tange
Lisa is a lover of nature, animals, world travel and simple pleasures. Her love of nature began as a child when her parents sent her to Tom Sawyer summer camp in the Pasadena foothills. Some of her best memories include her Dad waking her up early for sunrise hikes and trekking their way to the top of Mt. Whitney together for her 21st Birthday. Lisa has been immersed in nature and meditation on journeys of learning and self discovery that have taken her part way to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal and all the way to the Tiger’s Nest Temple in Bhutan. After experiencing deeply and completely the peace and healing that nature offers, both in silence and in community, Lisa was inspired to learn how to facilitate opportunities for others to benefit from nature on their own journey.
Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has over 30 years of experience providing compassionate and innovative approaches to mental and emotional health care. In addition to being a certified Mindfulness Meditation in Nature Facilitator through Awake in the Wild, she is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Instructor through Dharma Moon and a Certified Equus Coach through The Center for Equus Coaching.
Lisa grew up in Pasadena, CA, earned her undergraduate degree at UC Santa Barbara, her graduate degree from San Diego State and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2002. Lisa has had a lifelong passion for travel and has been on adventures on all seven continents. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures, religions, celebrations, food and music. She makes time for camping, hiking, horseback riding, snowboarding and nature immersion. Lisa also fosters kitties and has adopted two of them – Lexi and Lukas.
