Come get away from winter cold and attend a silent mindfulness retreat in the pristine wilderness of the Sea of Cortez. This is the 10th year that Mark Coleman has led this silent kayaking meditation retreat. The retreat will be mostly in silence to support the meditative process, and there will be several periods of meditation daily as well as time for discussion, talks on the themes of meditation in nature, talking circles and opportunities for one to one work with the Mark Coleman. There will also be free time to swim, snorkel and enjoy this spectacular setting.

Awake in the Wild Teacher Training

The Awake in the Wild Meditation in Nature Teacher Training is an apprenticeship training in guiding contemplative nature practice, inspired by the wisdom teachings from the Buddhist tradition, by Mark Coleman’s book Awake in the Wild (AITW) and by the wilderness retreats led by Mark for more than a decade across the Americas. Nature meditation brings mindful awareness practices into the outdoors as a support for presence, connection, and insight. Mark is excited to share this cherished work with a group of dedicated nature meditation practitioners that will give them tools to begin to share similar practices with others.

The Eightfold Path explores our journey of how we learn to live with wisdom, compassion, and peace. On the Buddhist path, every aspect of our life is to be included as a vehicle for awakening. In this daylong, we will look at the last four parts of the Eightfold Path – Wise Motivation, Wise Speech, Wise Action and Wise Livelihood. We will explore how we cultivate and develop these qualities in our practice and in our lives. Continuing Education credit available.

U.S. Training Runs September 2018 – August 2019

This unique comprehensive year long teacher training combines transformational cultivation of your own mindfulness practice and systematic development of your teaching capacity. You will learn to integrate the depth of mindfulness meditation from its ancient origins with latest research and neuroscience findings on mindfulness and its applications This course will enable you to teach a wide variety of mindfulness programs with confidence and clarity.

This training will be offered in the U.K. in 2019.
