A Summer Solstice Celebration!

A Summer Solstice Celebration!

With Gregory Crespo & Mirjam Luthe

A Community Event

We invite you to join us for a 90-minute evening celebration of the summer solstice. As the longest day of the year approaches, we invite you to gather in a welcoming space to honor the wisdom of our planet. This intimate event is designed to create a sense of connection and reflection as we embrace the transformative energy of the summer solstice.

The summer solstice marks the pinnacle of daylight and the official arrival of summer. As Earth’s axis tilts to its maximum, the sun appears at its highest point in the sky, casting its nourishing energy upon the land and gifting us with the longest day and the shortest night of the year. It is a time when nature is ablaze with life, vibrant and abundant, beckoning us to revel in its splendor.

During this special celebration, our experienced teachers will guide you through meditation practices that encourage introspection and relaxation. With a focus on mindfulness, you will have the opportunity to come into a deeper awareness of the rhythms of your life and the earth. In addition to meditation we will provide space for sharing and honoring the collective wisdom of the Awake in the Wild community. The evening will culminate in a heartfelt closing ceremony, where we will offer gratitude for the earth and set intentions for the coming season. Join us as we honor this special moment of transition.

We honor the Buddhist principle of dana, or mutual generosity. Our teachers generously offer their teachings to our community. In a mutual invitation to practice generosity, our community is invited to give dana to support Awake in the Wild and our teachers. Your generosity helps to spread the goodness of this practice to others, and you are encouraged to contribute at whatever level feels generous to you.
