World Oceans Day
A Mindfulness Celebration

With Ashley Dahl

Event Description

Join us for a special community event celebrating World Oceans Day with a focus on the water element, mindfulness, and meditation. This unique gathering will take place online, offering an opportunity for people to come together from around the world to reflect on the profound connection between our practice and the ocean.

This event will feature an enlightening talk on the water element— exploring its significance in Buddhism and contemplative traditions, and how it relates to our inner and outer worlds. Through guided meditation and reflective exercises, we will connect with the water element within ourselves and in nature, contemplating our relationships and responsibilities towards the ocean. This nature-based mindfulness celebration aims to strengthen our bonds as a community while deepening our understanding of interconnectedness, reciprocity and environmental stewardship.

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or new to meditation, this event offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate World Oceans Day, cultivate mindfulness, and honor the life-sustaining waters of our planet. All are welcome to join us in this collective reflection and celebration.
